The two digitally released tracks, the eerie theme by Wendy Carlos and the jazz tune ‘Midnight, The Stars and You’ made popular by Al Bowly, show the duality of the band’s sound, with the latter rendered surprisingly sweetly.
For a band who have, since their inception, thrived on creating the unexpected, with complex musicality and wild tempo shifts, it was a perfect fit. “All work and no play”? Not here.
