Maybe I’m biased as I live here, but you can always rely on Glasgow bands to bring that punky energy. Current Affairs are yet another to shake your bones to. Joan Sweeney, Andrew Milk, Gemma Fleet and Sebastian Ymai have formed from many other fine indie bands like Shopping, Pissy, and The Wharves, so their credentials are trustworthy.

Politically active (they run queer club nights to bring people together) and full of attitude, humour and positivity, their music is danceable, as well as smart . Their first full – length studio album, Off The Tongue, is released on July 14th via Tough Love.
