Signed to our pals at Upset The Rhythm (always a sign of quality) Shake Chain have an imminent new release forthcoming with debut album Snake Chain. Featuring the genuinely unhinged vocals of Katie Mahony, they’re an uncompromising, bloody slice of post -punk. Whereas other bands believe themselves to be alternative, this band are truly unique and blistering, and an endlessly frenetic presence to behold.
Their live gigs are said to fall between chaos and control, with Mahony crawling on the stage, crying, or washing her hands, bringing an unruly quality to the stage. That they’ve been compared to performance art only makes them all the more alluring. Suffice it to say, they’re not for fans of Florence and the Machine.
Snake Chain is out on November 18th
